ELKHART — Marlene Van Diepenbos, 57, of Elkhart, passed away at her home at 10:14 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012.

She was born April 7, 1954, in Akron, Ohio, to Walter and Joyce (Geffken) Evans. On April 29, 1972, in Elkhart, she married Tim Van Diepenbos.

He survives along with three daughters, Amy (Keith) Atharton of Constantine, Mich., and Tamara and Sarah Van Diepenbos, both of Elkhart; and four grandchildren, Madison and Haley Atharton, both of Constantine, and Timothy Bravo and Savannah Rain Van Diepenbos, both of Elkhart. Also surviving are a sister, Elizabeth (Chuck) Forgery of Elkhart; and two brothers, Clifford (Sue) Evans of Clearwater, Fla., and Shannon (Kieshaa) Evans of Elkhart.

Marlene enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.

An open house for family and friends of Marlene will start at 2 p.m. Feb. 23, 2012, at her home. Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
