ELKHART — Jack J. Reynolds Sr., 76, of Elkhart, passed away at 12:40 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at the Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart.

He was born March 26, 1935, in Mattoon, Ill., to Norman and Edna (Harris) Reynolds. He moved to Elkhart and married Marjorie Gongwer on Dec. 13, 1952.

She survives along with a daughter, Debra Stout of Elkhart; sons Norman “Pete” (Elaine) Reynolds of Goshen, Joe (Sharon) Reynolds Jr. of Michigan City and Michael (Dianna) Reynolds of Elkhart; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

His hobbies were watching football, basketball and visiting the Four Winds Casino. He was a painter and paperhanger.

Friends and family may gather from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Elkhart County Community Baptist Church, 23805 Sunnyside Ave., Elkhart, where a memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Pastor Ed Ritchie will preside. Additional visitation will immediately follow the service. Cremation has taken place. Elkhart Cremation services is entrusted with arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice Care-Elkhart.
