AVON PARK, Fla. — Robert “Jerry” Wagner, 71, of Avon Park, formerly of Middlebury, Ind., died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at Florida Hospital in Sebring.

He was born May 16, 1940, in Grand Rapids, Mich., to Robert J. Wagner Sr. and Virginia Edgerton. He married Roberta Manor on Aug. 13, 1977, in Las Vegas.

She survives along with two sons, Daniel (Angela) Wagner of Zionsville, Ind., and R. Lanny Wagner of New Paris, Ind.; a sister, Arlene (Gene) Curnow of Sturgis, Mich.; and four grandchildren.

Stepdaughter Denise Norris preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Pastor Dwight Gosser of New Life Christian Center, Bristol, will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakridge Cemetery, Bristol.

Mr. Wagner was in the recreational vehicle business in Elkhart as an owner, manufacturer and salesman and his favorite hobby was golf. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
