Standoff near Edwardsburg ends peacefully

The incident began around 10 a.m. Monday in a house near Redfield Street and Ebersole Road, southeast of Edwardsburg. Police said a man with a gun had barricaded himself inside the home but that he was alone, according to a report by WNDU-TV.
The man gave up and surrendered late Monday, Cass County Police told WNDU.
The incident was believed to have started as a domestic dispute, according to WNDU’s report.
