People’s Forum: GOP has been busting unions since 1940s
Posted: 02/19/2012 at 1:15 am

It is a sad day in Indiana that the trade unions worked so hard to win against — sweat shops, horrible working conditions, companies having no concern for their employees and the few rich like Mitt Romney, who was handed everything and made billions and sent it to Cayman Islands to get out of taxes to make more money. They have no idea of working for a living and no compassion for the poor, in my opinion.

It started with the Taft Hartley act, a GOP bill in the late ’40s and escalated to union-busting Ronald Reagan in the ’80s and now to union-busting Mitch Daniels in 2012.

I get a pension from a union and might lose it, but I will survive! I went through the Great Depression living on nothing and worked in horrible conditions in sweat shops since I was 16, except when I defended our country!

One more thing: The Republican Supreme Court should hold their heads in shame allowing super PACs! Who wins is all about money today.
