Kaepa Krush Volleyball Club: Tryouts are scheduled for Sunday at Niles YMCA at the following times -- 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for 12U, 12:30 to 3 p.m. for 13U and 14U, 2:30 to 5 p.m. to 15U, 16U, 17U and 18U. Krush Volleyball is a sanctioned member of USA Volleyball and a member of the Lakeshore Region Volleyball Association. There is a $10 ryout fee. BASEBALL

The School of Hard Knocks: A pitching clinic with New York Yankees Triple-A player Jeff Williams is scheduled for 2 to 3:30 p.m. for ages 10-13 and 3:30 to 5 p.m. for ages 14-18 on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 21-22. Cost is $15 per athlete per day. Players must bring there own glove and workout gear. A hitting clinic is scheduled for 8:30 to 10 a.m. for ages 9-12 and 10 to 11:30 a.m. for ages 13-18 Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 27-28. Cost is $15 per athlete per session. Players must bring their own bat and workout gear. Each pitching or hitting session is limited to 12 players. To reserve a spot, call (574) 252-5662.

John Mallee Hitting/Fielding Camps: John Mallee, hitting coordinator for the 2003 world champion Flordia Marlins, will host a third annual series of hitting and infield camps at the Indiana Chargers Baseball Academy (formerly JNZ Academy) in Shipshewana. Mallee has been a professional baseball coach for 14 years. Camp size is limited to assure one-on-one instruction. Camps are open to players ages 9-18. Sessions are 2 1/2 hours. The lone infield session is Nov. 14. Hitting sessions are Nov. 14, Dec. 12 (two times available) and Jan. 23 (two). BASKETBALL

Wawasee elementary boys camp: For boys in grades K to 3, the camp will offer instruction from Wawasee High School coaches and players from 8 to 9 a.m. (grades K-1) and 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. (Grades 2-3) on the following Saturdays -- Nov. 14, 21 and 28 and Dec. 5. Athletes will be required to bring their own basketball (regulation size men's or women's; no mini-balls). Cost is $25 which includes a T-shirt. Bethany Youth League: Bethany Christian Schools will hold a developmental basketball experience for youth in grades 4-6. Boys sessions will run Saturdays Nov. 7 to Jan. 16; girls sessions will run Saturdays Jan. 23 to Feb. 27. Participants will have a 90-minute session that includes a time of instruction followed by a game. Registration is $10 per child. Hawks home school tryouts: The Hawks junior high home-school boys basketball team is seeking players for the 2009-10 season. Players must 14 or under as of Aug. 31, 2009 and receive at least 51 percent of their schooling from home. ESC Fall Youth Indoor, Future Stars Beginner Leagues: The leagues begin at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7. Cost is $60 per player for a six-week league. Individuals may sign up at Elkhart Sports Center. SOFTBALL

Goshen College pitching clinic: The clinic for pitchers of all levels and abilities is set for 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Goshen College Rec-Fitness Center. TENNIS

Eastlake Athletic Club/Maple City Racquet Club: Winter indoor tennis lessons are being offered at both the Elkhart and Goshen facilities. A variety of programs from ages 3 through high school as well as adult class, drills, leagues and private lessons for men and women, beginners through advanced, are offered at both clubs.
