The fire Monday at Legends Sports Bar and Grill in Edwardsburg was started intentionally, authorities say. Michigan State Police Detective Sgt. Fabian Suarez says the fire has been ruled arson, but what was used to start the blaze and exactly where it originated are still under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s office. Michigan State Police are handling the case at the request of the Cass County Prosecutor’s office. They’re being assisted by Edwardsburg Police. Township records show that since 2003, T&R Investments, the owner of Legends, has had a history of three other fires at properties it owns. One was labeled suspicious; two were deemed as cause undetermined.
