DANNY D. KROPF

Feb. 17, 1962 - Nov. 3, 2009

ELKHART -- Born on Feb. 17, 1962, Danny D. "Catfish" Kropf, this man was to become the greatest man our family has ever known. He had a beautiful heart and an amazingly kind, loving and selfless spirit. On Nov. 3, 2009, at 10:36 p.m., the hearts of many shattered when he lost a hard fought battle to MRSA as he took his final breath at home with his family.

He will be greatly missed by his fiancée, Beverly Paul; his daughters, Lora Himes and Robyn Paul; and his sons, Daniel and Bo Kropf, including a son-in-law, Brandon Himes. He had one grandchild, Kevin Himes, whom he adored, and two chihuahuas, Renny and Dido, who brought him joy and laughter.

He will also be remembered by his sisters, Kristina Kropf and India Lewis, and by his brothers, Chester Robinson and Alan Rands. Among the numerous friends he made over the years with his boundless sense of humor, he also had a brother in heart, Sheldon Birdsall.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Mike and "Pudgy" Robinson, as well as his mom, Barbara McKinley.

A private service was held for those who cared for him Friday, Nov. 6, at 5 p.m. at the Forest Creek Residential Community Building. That service was held by Pastor Harry Shrock.

"Dad, from us kids, we couldn't have asked for a better dad."

With endless love, he will be missed.

I do not know Danny but my sincerest wishes go out to his family. I am a wrestling coach and constantly battle skin disease and MRSA is something that terrifies me. I am sorry to hear about this
