WILMA KLINE

MIDDLEBURY -- Wilma Kline, 94, 59929 C.R. 35 died Friday (Dec. 11, 2009) at 12:15 p.m. at her home after having been ill the past several months.

She was born May 5, 1915, in LaGrange County to Willard and Almeda (Bryner) Prough. She married Merritt George Kline on July 19, 1945, in Middlebury. He died Aug. 8, 1999.

She is survived by one daughter, Almeda (Jon) Troyer of Middlebury and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five sisters, Lena Shank, Grace Sheffield, Bessie Myers, Bertha Green and Imogene Sherck; and four brothers, Sam, John, Charley and Chauncey Prough.

Mrs. Kline, a 1932 Shipshewana High School graduate, had lived in the Middlebury area for 55 years, coming from LaGrange County. She was a homemaker who worked at Abitibi in Middlebury for five years. She belonged to St. John's Lutheran Church, Fish Lake, where she served as council member and secretary/treasurer and was involved with the Ladies Aid.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.Thursday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, 1911 S. Main St., Goshen. The funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, also at the funeral home, with Pastor Cuthbert Pauluhn of St. John's Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will take place at Forest Grove Cemetery, Middlebury.
