ELKHART -- John David Sekan, 48, of Elkhart, died at 6:30 p.m. Monday (Nov. 23, 2009) in The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care.

He was born Jan. 8, 1961, in Niles, Mich., to Joseph Paul and Mildred Sekan, both of whom survive in Naples, Fla.

Mr. Sekan is also survived by one daughter, Jacqueline Sekan of Elkhart; one brother, Robert (Linda) Sekan of Commerce City, Colo.; and three sisters, Judy (Mitch) Whitney of Littleton, Colo., Linda (Dusty) Campbell of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Deborah (Clay) Griffin of Bentonville, Ark.

He was a manufacturing representative for Sterling Gauges and a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Friends may call Friday from 4 until the 6 p.m. memorial service at Hoven Funeral Home, 414 E. Front St., Buchanan, Mich.
