STEPHEN A. TRENSHAW

GOSHEN -- Stephen A. Trenshaw, 64, of Bashor Road, died at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 17, 2009) apparently after a heart attack.

He was born May 28, 1945, in Goshen to John G. and Helen T. (Gergely) Trenshaw. On Nov. 28, 1970, he married Barbara (Miller) Trenshaw.

She survives with one daughter, Jenny (Stuart) Cooper of Knoxville, Tenn.; two sons, Chad (Ceci) Trenshaw of Carmel and Brad (Lindsey) Trenshaw of Goshen; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Therese M. Venosky of Goshen, Marihelen C. (Marvin) Roth of New Port Richey, Fla., and Martha M. Barnett of North Carolina; and two brothers, George C. (Linda) Trenshaw of Goshen and Albert R. Trenshaw of Mequon, Wis.

Two siblings, John F. Trenshaw and Rose Anna Worth, preceded him in death.

Mr. Trenshaw graduated in 1963 from Goshen High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War who was discharged in 1969. He worked as a parts manager at Sorg Dodge, Goshen, for 43 years, and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Goshen. He served on the Elkhart County 4-H Fair Board for 14 years.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen, where a Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. The funeral service will be at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Goshen, at 10 a.m. Saturday with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Rev. Christopher Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery.
