JACK E. HOLLINGER

GOSHEN -- Jack E. Hollinger, 91, of 18450 C.R. 22, died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 18, 2009) in The Courtyard.

He was born March 3, 1918, in South Bend to Charles and Harriet (Fausch) Hollinger. On Nov. 5, 1938, in Goshen, he married Marguerite A. "Dimp" Bowersox who died July 12, 2000. He married Donna M. Clark on Nov. 26, 2004, in Goshen. She died May 14, 2009.

Mr. Hollinger is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline (Ray) Yoder of Cicero and Sylvia (John) Hicks of Winder, Ga.; two sons, Rex (Paula) Hollinger of Goshen and Jerry (Ada) Hollinger of Lebanon, Tenn.; one stepdaughter, Lori (Steve) Howard of Goshen; eight grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild; one half-sister, Carol Stose of Goshen; and one half-brother, Paul Hollinger of Florida.

He was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Ray Hollinger; one grandson, Jerry Hollinger; one great-grandson, Michael Yoder; and one sister, Jane Miller.

Mr. Hollinger was a farmer and a school bus driver for 35 years. He served in the Marine Corps, was wounded and received a Purple Heart. He was an avid golfer and a member of Maplecrest Country Club, Family Worship Center at the Lighthouse, VFW, DAV, American Legion and Goshen Moose.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, 1911 S. Main St., Goshen, where the funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. James Hostetler of Family Worship Center will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery.
