MILFORD -- Phyllis Miller, 80, of Milford, died at 1:55 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 14, 2009) at Lakeland Loving Care in Milford.

She was born Jan. 29, 1929, in Bremen to Elmer and Maxine (Fetters) Shearer. She married Junior Miller, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by one daughter, Connie (George) Newkirk of Nappanee; one son, Michael (Barbara) Miller of Bourbon; one sister, Norma (Gary) Montgomery of Bourbon; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her longtime companion, Victor Graber; infant brother, Max Shearer; and two sisters, Betty Brooks and Idella Lewellen

A graduate of Bremen High School, Mrs. Miller had worked for Blue Bell in Nappanee and drove for the Amish community. She enjoyed Notre Dame football, reading, flowers and puzzles.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, 950 N. Main St., Nappanee. A graveside service will follow at Union Center Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Southern Care Hospice.
