PLYMOUTH -- Jerry Wayne Cannon, 54, of Plymouth, died Thursday (Nov. 5, 2009) in his home.
He was born Aug. 20, 1955, in Goshen to Lester and Clara Margueriete (Cochran) Cannon. In 1982 he married Donna Bunton who survives, as well as two daughters, Brenda (Kevin) Ketcham of LaPaz and Mandy (Jerimy) Carner of Wakarusa; one son, Kyle (Autumn) Cannon of Plymouth; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Lester (Sue) Cannon of Bremen and Larry (Rosina) Cannon of South Bend; and one sister, Bonnie Hershburger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson; and four brothers, Paul, Kenny, Richard and Bernard.
Mr. Cannon graduated from Bremen High School in 1974 and later graduated from Vincennes University with a degree in communication/broadcasting. He attended Blissville Church of the Brethren, Plymouth, and was "The Voice of the New Paris Speedway," announcing at many area race tracks for more than 30 years.
Friends may call from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 S.R. 331, Bremen, where the funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Max Abbott will officiate. Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery.
