SOUTH BEND -- Edward L. Logan, 61, of South Bend, died at 9:45 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 1, 2009) in Cardinal Nursing & Rehabilitation. He was born Oct. 1, 1948, in Mishawaka to William L. and Verna L. (McNutt) Logan.

Mr. Logan is survived by seven siblings, Robert McNutt and Rosemary Cooper, both of South Bend, Willie O. Logan of Three Oaks, Mich., Rich Phillips of Stevensville, Mich., Ruth Gibson of Dowagiac, Mich., Martha Shoemaker of Vail, Ariz., and Rebecca Gibson of Elkhart.

One brother preceded him in death.

There will be no funeral service or visitation. Cremation will take place. Burial will be at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Elkhart Cremation Services, 2100 W. Franklin St., Elkhart, is assisting with arrangements.

Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
