CASSOPOLIS, Mich. -- Michael H. Grahl, 66, of 22130 Kelsey Lake St., died at 8:10 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 2, 2009) in his home.
He was born Aug. 29, 1942, in Niles to Frank Sr. and Nettie (Stratton) Grahl. On Aug. 5, 1961, he married Russelle A. Stahl in Cassopolis.
She survives along with two sons, Richard (Janie) Grahl of Niles and Roger (Tammy) Grahl of Dowagiac; one daughter, Pamela (Roger) Sova of Dowagiac; five grandchildren; two sisters, Judy (Larry) Mihills of Niles and Sharon (Roger) Huchendubler of Manistee; and one brother, Frank (Lois) Grahl Jr. of Niles.
One brother, Roger Grahl, preceded him in death.
Mr. Grahl retired as owner and operator of Grahl and Son Well Drilling, Cassopolis. He was a member of the North American Fishing Club and loved camping, fishing and the outdoors.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Connelly Funeral Home, 202 N. Broadway St., Cassopolis, where the funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday. Pastor Mike Smith of Hope Community Church, Niles, will officiate. Burial will be in Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Summerville.
