ELKHART -- Elkhart police are asking anyone who can identify the men who robbed the 7-Eleven on Main Street last weekend to contact police.
The robbery was one of three robberies that took place within a few hours in Elkhart Sunday morning. At 12:35 a.m., the 7-Eleven convenience store in the 100 block of Mishawaka Road was hit, followed by the 1:46 a.m. robbery at the 7-Eleven store in the 400 block of North Main Street. The third occurred at 3:01 a.m. at Burger King, 834 E. Beardsley Ave.
All three robberies involved two suspects, but detectives haven't been able to say whether they're related.
Police have released surveillance pictures of the suspects at the Main Street 7-Eleven and anticipate releasing additional surveillance photographs from the other robberies when they become available.
Anyone who can identify either man in the photographs may contact Detective James Anderson at the Elkhart Police Department at 295-7076.
