GOSHEN -- The three teens accused of conspiring to rob another teen had their initial hearings in Elkhart Circuit Court Wednesday.
Darius Lamar Tate, 17; Dedrick Tyrell Trotter, 17; and Brandy Nicole Burnett, 18, all of Elkhart, face charges of attempted armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
The trio was arrested after an 18-year-old man reported he was held at gunpoint for money Tuesday night.
The man told officers he was buying a laptop from a female acquaintance, and they arranged to meet on Columbus Drive.
When he arrived, one of the three boys who came with the female acquaintance held him at gunpoint and demanded money.
The victim told the group the money was in his car, and he managed to drive off when he went back to his vehicle.
Tate and Trotter were directly waived into adult court.
Each defendant faces six to 20 years and a $10,000 fine for each charge. They are all being held on a $200,000 bond.
