An officer with the Topeka Police Department has been arrested on preliminary meth-related charges.
Deputy Marshal Zachary P. Miller, 28, of Topeka, in lodged in the LaGrange County jail on preliminary charges of conspiracy to deal in methamphetamine, a class A felony, and three counts of official misconduct, all class D felonies, according to a press release from the LaGrange County Sheriff's Department.
A two-month investigation that spanned two counties and numerous interviews resulted in a warrant for Miller's arrest issued out of the LaGrange County prosecutor's office, police said.
The Noble County prosecutor's office is also reviewing aspects of the investigation that are believed to have occurred in its jurisdiction.
The investigation is ongoing.
