City officials and leaders of Goshen's neighborhood associations will meet for brunch Saturday to discuss achievements and challenges of the associations.
The leadership brunch -- hosted by LaCasa, an Elkhart County community housing development organization -- is at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Rieth Interpretive Center.
According to a press release, associations usually focus on issues in their own neighborhood, but leaders get new ideas and information from learning what's going on in the rest of the city.
"There is value in thinking beyond your own boundaries and considering issues from the perspective of other neighborhoods," said June Yoder of East Lincoln Crossroads in a press release. "Meeting with leaders from various neighborhoods in Goshen has inspired us to try new things."
