In what is being touted as another sign of the economic recovery, Jayco, Inc., is increasing production and has recalled or hired more than 200 workers.
The Middlebury recreational vehicle manufacturer said the improving production rates are the result of "higher than anticipated levels of oncoming orders." Moreover, the company stated its order backlog is the largest in more than two years.
In a press release, Derald Bontrager, Jayco's president and chief operating officer, described the increasing output as "the first tangible indication that the RV industry has turned the corner and can look forward to improved business conditions going forward.
