The inaugural Maple City Walk attracted 56 walkers Saturday morning.
Julia Gautsche, one of the organizers, said the half-marathon-length event went well. Volunteers provided support for the walkers from across northern Indiana and southern Michigan.
"We had all kinds of weather," Gautsche said, though at least it didn't snow. Rain, sun and wind were part of the walk, which started at the head of the Goshen Mill Race trail near Washington Street and continued through Goshen and down the Pumpkinvine Trail and back. It was just over 13.1 miles, Gautsche said.
