ELKHART -- Cherie Marie Lerner and Troy Edward Nusbaum were united in marriage June 16, 2007, at Augustana Lutheran Church. Pastor Steven Reshan officiated.

The bride's parents are Thomas (Lea) Lerner of Sun City, Ariz., and Patricia (Richard) Sellers of Bristol. The groom's parents are Timothy and Phyllis Nusbaum of Elkhart.

...KIM LERNER, the bride's sister of Gilbert, Ariz., was maid of honor. The groom's sister, Megan Briggs of Goshen, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's cousins, Jessi Shuff of Middlebury, Loren Sellers and Alex Lerner, both of Elkhart, Meghan Delcamp of Goshen and Amanda Huff of Wheeling, Ill.; Emily Reece of Toledo, Ohio; Abby Bitney of St. Louis, Mo.; and Rachelle Judd of Goshen. Another cousin, Taylor Sellers of Elkhart, was junior bridesmaid. The groom's niece, Sydney Briggs of Goshen, was flower girl.

...JOSH MILLER and BEN MATHERLY, both of Elkhart, were best men. Groomsmen were the groom's brother-in-law, Chad Briggs, Goshen; Tim Pratt of Huntersville, N.C.; Chad Broderick, Rancho Cordova, Calif.; Ryan Shuff, Middlebury; Jason Keast and Shawn Kerjes, both of Grand Rapids, Mich.; Dave DeCraene, South Bend; and Brian Gephart, Chicago. The groom's nephew, Tyler Krupp of Edwardsburg, and the bride's brother, Austin Sellers of Bristol, were junior groomsmen. The groom's cousins, Ross Nusbaum and Derek Nusbaum of Elkhart, and the bride's cousins, Philip Lerner of Elkhart and Gary Huff of Muncie, ushered. The bride's cousin, Graham Delcamp, was ring bearer.

The bride's cousins, Kathleen Huff and Geoffrey Freisner, performed a duet during the ceremony.

A reception followed at the Palais Royale Ballroom in South Bend.

The couple honeymooned in the French Polynesian islands of Moorea and Bora Bora.

The groom proposed to the bride in Central Park during a holiday trip to New York City. He had a professional photographer nearby to capture the moment.
