1 FRIDAY: Middlebury Ice Festival takes place from 4 to 9 p.m. during the city's annual Hometown Holiday Event. This is a free event that includes ice carvings and entertainment downtown. Downtown stores will stay open until 9 p.m. Northridge High School's Northern Lights show choir performs at Varns and Hoover and the Star Lights show choir will be at the library. 2 SUNDAY: The Studebaker National Museum Store will have a holiday open house from noon to 5 p.m. in conjunction with the opening of "A Studebaker Family Christmas" holiday exhibit. For tickets call the museum at 235-9714, ext. 231. The museum is at 201 S. Chapin St., South Bend.
3 NOV. 28: Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit the Edwardsburg (Mich.) Fire Station on M-62 from 10 a.m. to noon. Then at 5 p.m. at Tru Barbers Shop on Main St., the community Christmas tree will be lit and caroling will be provided by the Edwardsburg Presbyterian Church choir. Afterwards, the Edwardsburg Museum, across the street from the tree, will have an open house until 7 p.m.
4 DEC. 8: "Musical Stylings for the Christmas Season" will be presented by associate professor of music Beverly Lapp and friends at 1 p.m. in Sauder Concert Hall.
