ELKHART -- Elkhart General Hospital is offering a free public seminar titled "Cardiovascular Disease: What Role Does Cholesterol Play?" at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Healthy Lifestyle Corner of the American Countryside Farmers Market.
Karen James, MSN, ANP, ARNP-BC, NP-C, Nurse Practitioner for Elkhart General New Directions Wellness Clinic, will identify potential complications, risk factors and prevention strategies for cardiovascular disease. She will also provide the risks associated with cholesterol panel components and goals according to the National Cholesterol Education Program.
