Violence Intervention Project
A non-profit organization that works to prevent violence and create a safer community through education, training, conflict resolution and promoting other alternatives. VIP's Community Mediation Services offers a voluntary process for resolving conflicts with the help of a skilled mediator. Works with families with children under 18 years of age in problem- solving and communication; parent education classes; divorce adjustment seminars; suicide prevention and educational workshops addressing such issues as self-esteem, drug/alcohol abuse, eating disorders, etc. Some services are free while others have minimal fees.
