Let's discuss 'Elkhart Public Library selling old furniture'.

A little garage cleaning by the Elkhart Public Library has yielded a bonanza of mid-century modern furniture for the auction block. Desks, chairs and tables manufactured at the Herman Miller furniture factory in Zeeland, Mich., as well as other desks and chairs designed by Jens Risom and Charles Eames will be sold to the highest bidder next week as the library gets rid of surplus items it no longer uses. Proceeds from the online auction will go into the library's general operating fund.

Wow...Just learned the news...this is too bad that there was not more advanced warning on this, but I might have missed an earlier announcement.  That is so cool!  I wish I had one of those chairs - This is exactly my style and Kudos to The Elkhart Library for doing their research - first with buying the chairs and now with properly identifying the chairs, assessing the value and getting the word out in detail to the newspaper reporter.

Thoughtful work!
