Let's discuss 'Goshen men killed when car flipped into rural ditch'.

Two Goshen men were killed early Friday morning after the car they were riding in flipped into a flooded ditch along C.R. 9 near C.R. 28.

This is a sad thing to happen and I'm surprised that it doesn't happen more often. I am kind of familiar with some of the county roads south of town like this one, and there a LOT of them with DEEP ditches right at the edge of the road with NO guard rails of any kind, and no warning signs posted to advise motorists of how dangerous it is to drive these areas. If you want to see an example, just drive south on Oakland Ave. (CR7) for 5 minutes and you see immediately what I'm talking about. I don't know how the county has gotten by for so long without having guard rails along these areas. Of course, there are so many roads with these deep ditches, it would be a major project to put up guard rails, and it would be a situation of "where do we start first?"

Lack of monies to put them up is a main issue. Even state highways don't have guardrails because of lack of tax money to put them up. Warning signs are often ignored by drivers.
To the families of the victims, I'm sorry for your loss.

I'm sure that is how God would want it.

Wow...I can't imagine what type of process causes someone to think like LyEnda.

In many countries, people manage much worse driving conditions with a complete lack of any automated signaling with much fewer injuries and deaths.

There are few systems more wasteful and inefficient than America's traffic courts which are set up to enrich an entire sector of public court workers and public safety officials.

I want a smaller government and more Libertarian country, even if it isn't as controlling, it can often be nearly as safe or even safer when people take responsibilities for their own driving actions.

This accident is pure driver error nothing more, drugs and alcohol, possibly, driver has several convictions for DUI, and other petty criminal charges.

Drive 100 mph drunk at night, and this could be anyone.
