Let's discuss 'Dining A La King: Words and eating utensils merge into a TV show'.
Amid the shows of celebrity chefs making impossible dishes and adventurous gourmands eating foods most people wouldn't touch is a local show that takes a different approach. "Dinner and a Book" is in its ninth season on WNIT-TV, the local public television station still based in Elkhart.

I agree, Dinner and a Book is lovely and fun, and feeds the soul. Gail Martin picks great cooking and chatting partners from academia and the community. Even better, pair it with WVPE's The Splendid Table at noon on Saturdays, and you have an inspired, moveable feast within 90 delicious minutes.
And by the way, all the 'talk' about talk radio and losing WTRC's format. If what you want is current information about the world, the state, and the local community, WVPE (88.1 fm) is the smartest most value-packed resource minute by minute. It's my kind of entertainment --- inspiration --- and empowerment... knowledge is power in control of facts, not untethered opinion.
Try it. It's my go-to button on the dashboard dial.
