Let's discuss 'RV industry future: slow recovery'.

Bill and Esthermay Brooks are nomads of the Interstate system. They've crossed the continental United States five times over the last 15 years, chalking up visits to all the lower 48 states in their national roving. They plan to steer their 35-foot-long Georgie Boy Pursuit motor home north to visit the 49th state, Alaska, in 2011. "Our longest trip was five and a half weeks -- we drove 10,000 miles and visited 22 states and Canada," said Bill Brooks, a police officer from Cobb Island, Md. "Eventually, we ha

Nertz. Either this "green vehicle" thing will take off, in which case no one will be able to tow anything much larger than a cooler on wheels; or oil prices will continue their upward trend, in which case no one will be able to afford RVing. At best, the RV business will remain a boutique industry, with few manufacturers and a much smaller consumer market. At worst, it's dead, folks.

With a little luck and a lot of prayer, this "recovery" will be slow enough for Elkhart county to come into the real world and diversify it's industrial and commercial base, and force people to get some education. Where else can a High School dropout make $50k a year? This has GOT to stop!!! We are better than this folks!! I wouldnt go back to work in the RV industry unless my family was starving.

Im surprised they held on this long, I bet they'd be bankrupt within a year when i got laid off last September, i wonder if Toolson has sold his million dollar beach house...or any of his cars yet. He DID sell 30.000 shares of Monaco stock last spring(right before everything fell apart)

Toolson sold 30,000 shares of stock right before they folded?  Isn't that called "insider trading"?  Didn't Martha Stewart go to jail for that?
