Let's discuss 'Truth editorial: Announcements are news, not opinions'.
We had no idea that people in Fort Wayne, Lafayette, Warsaw, Kokomo, Indianapolis, Fishers, LaGrange, Muncie, South Bend and Syracuse cared so passionately about The Elkhart Truth. Not to mention our burgeoning fan base in Lawton, Okla.

Readers either didn't notice the announcement among the other engagements Sunday or they made their peace with it I didn't say anything because I really don't follow man made laws, popular opinions, or doctrines of men. I don't listen to the crowd. Doesn't mean that I agreed with ya though. I was trying to keep the peace by not objecting. Maybe I should speak up more...but in retrospect...I still don't care what your laws and opinions are. I believe what I believe and the rest is nought. Just sayin'.
If hindsight is 20/20...Then why do we look ahead instead of behind?

Just sayin'. I admire your philosophy and good luck with the parole board.

Seems like they want a sacrifice more and more these days. I don't mind. May as well be me.

My ex-neighbor moved to Eastern India and married a stray dog. Since he was once an Elkhart resident can I go ahead and get his marriage announcement listed here? It was a few years ago but he didn't think the "Truth" would publish it. It is legal to marry animals in India under some circumstances. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/3004930.stm
Then I heard of an ex-Elkhart resident that moved to the Sudan and was caught having sex with a goat and was forced to marry it. Would the Truth please print his marriage announcement? It is legal in the Sudan to marry a goat. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/4748292.stm
A British lady that lived in Elkhart for a few weeks last year, legally married a Dolphin in Israel. Would the Truth please print their wedding announcement?

| An appropriate response and explanation by the Elkhart Truth of the announcement that was published. Narrow minded, backwards people should just keep their mouths shut.

| I wonder which scumbag bottom-feeder right wing nut-job AM radio "personality" sounded the "moral majority" alarm on this one? My guess is that moron, Mike Gallagher. This Druggy Limbaugh wannabe has had a habit of stickin' his nose in local affairs to try to drum up content for his idiotic radio show. His audience consists of a bunch of old CONservative farts that have nothing better to do before doing us all a favor and just expiring.
