Let's discuss 'More faces added to the list of the jobless'.
Elkhart County continues to lead the state in unemployment. According to figures released Friday by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, the county's unemployment rate for January was 18.3 percent, up from the December 2008 figure of 15.3 percent. Elkhart County's December unemployment rate was amended to 16 percent after additional information such as delayed unemployment claims and surveys were factored in. LaGrange County was second among the 92 counties in Indiana with 18 percent of the work

| Well people of Elkhart County, what is your favorite saying? Oh, I think it was something like," Obama, he carries us with him." Well, where is he carrying you? To that never ending unemployment line. I guess he is carrying you, like a pregnant woman on crack with child, lack of common sense resulting in the innocent being hurt or deformed. You all voted for a man with no agenda or concept of what to do for this country and now you are like that innocent child being hurt or deformed. I guess you all can have all the union support you can handle, now that there is no industry to organize. He gave you a cheap circus act and you bought all the tickets with no gate. Strike back people of Elkhart, let the government know that if bankruptcy is good enough for you, then it should also be a viable option for the auto makers, the banks, the endowment for the arts and every other organization out there with their hand in your pocket stealing you tax dollars.

| Once again, the people in Elkhart County are blaming a president who has been in office less than 2 months. The problem with unemployment in this area began long ago. This is what happens when most of the county is dependant on one industry to support itself. That industry failed and has taken all linked businesses with it. This president never vowed to bring back the RV industry. It'll probably never return to what we once knew and grew to take for granted. It would be great if all the empty RV plants could be filled with workers who built solar energy panels or our fields filled with wind farms. This area needs to change the old way of thinking and move on.

| Not all Elkhartans voted for O'bama,Nor Mcpuke.I voted for non the the above.I wrote my own name in.At least I know where I stand, and it isn't socialism or communism either. Oil has always been the force that fuels our economy.Wind farms don't produce plastics, cars,RV's or anything else for that matter. If someone wants a wind farm then let them step up,and donate their land, and home them. Solar power has great potential.Enough I don't think has been done to research the ability of these solar panels in their ability to retain the power that they have absorbed.
