Let's discuss 'Why did Obama come? The economy'.
It's no accident that President Barack Obama picked Elkhart to discuss his economic stimulus plan, meant to jump-start the nation's economy. Unemployment here is particularly high and the local economy is teetering, ripe conditions, arguably, for a message centered on job creation, analysts say.

Sure, he used both Elkhart and Ft. Meyers as back drops to make his pitch to the rest of the country for the stimulus program. If the rest of you don't get your congressmen in line you could be the next Elkhart. Okay, that's like being held hostage or like being the kid who got his tougne stuck on the flag pole, in the middle of winter. But, it is another way of dealing with a congress that believes that it answers to no one. And can we learn from this? You bet. We don't contact our representatives enough, we don't hold them accountable ourselves. Yeah, I know we are all too busy working and taking care of everything around the house but, 15.3% of us have some free time. Let's bug our congressmen to death. Ask them what they are personally doing to put you back to work and tell them that you will quote their reply.
