Time to drop the racism crap. There are problems against all different groups. Now we have a black president. Affirmative action should be dead.

Adam Williams talks about the difference between the relationship between blacks and whites in the south and in the north. The difference is civility on both sides.

Racism is not just a black/white issue, it is an issue when anyone of any race deams someone as inferior or less then simply because of the difference in skin color. The issue is still very much alive even today. Until the day comes when you (all people) can look at someone and not see a color first but see the person racism will be an issue. How many times when discribing someone you work with have you first said this black guy I work with or this mexican I work with, this asian girl I work with, etc. What difference does their race matter? This guy I work with, this girl I work with... do we need to qualify a statement with a race? So until WE can look beyond race, racism will be an issue.

| Amy: I agree with what you just said. I think it's also time for people to stop being described as African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, Asian-Americans and all other Hypon-Americans. If we're ever going to become a color blind country then all of us need to just be simply called Americans. It's a very positive sign that Barrack Obama doesn't use race when he's talking about the American people.

| ok just a couple of things....In all seriousness, is it racist to describe someone as black, asian, italian, irish, etc. if you are trying to describe the person for someone else to find or to explain what a person looks like? and not so serious...I am really tired of marking non-hispanic/white/other on documents that ask for your ethnicity. I've been marking other and writing in "clear" for a little while now
