Our V.P. got basically the same viewers as your Pres. pick! That's says a lot! Then subtract from Obama's numbers the networks of BET, TV One, Univision and Telemundo because Palin wasn't shown on those 4 and you'll find that Palin's numbers are higher. However, these numbers are so misleading that there's no way to actually know even within a couple of million, what the actual viewership was. The left is so glad that Palin was picked as V.P. as now they have someone they can compare Obama's (Their pres. pick) experience against. I sure wish Obama would talk about his past as much as Palin/McCain/Biden does. Oh wait... that would probably be a bad idea, for Obama (and Michelle). I wonder what kind of ratings Jim Jones got with his closed circuit broadcasts in Jonesboro ?

| Quote of the day shame-less-ly stolen from the internet: From Victor Davis Hanson: Every Democratic Presidential and VP nominee of the last thirty years, with the exception of Al Gore (law school drop out), has been a lawyer—Obama (s) and Biden, Kerry and Edwards, Gore and Lieberman, Clinton (s) and Gore, Dukakis and Bentsen, and Mondale and Ferraro.
Always wondered why I hated them (apart from the usual “Communist” stuff, that is). USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA

After listening to all the kudos about Palins tough talking speech, I do wonder among all 4 candidates which ones actually had a hand in writing their speech, if any. I have heard that Bush's speech writers had to revamp the VP speech because the one they wrote was too masculine, and that McCain's was a committee effort - not a surprise if you listened to it. I don't know about Obama and Biden.
I do appreciate the karmic irony that Ms Palin's daughter attends high school in Alaska, where with her mothers blessing (literally) they teach only abstinence for sex "ed", and here she is unmarried and pregnant. Gee who'd a thought. And did you catch the shots of her as she listened to the VP speech? The eye rolls were pretty standard teen fare, but funny none the less.

| The dems made complete fools of themselves on this one. I hope they don't keep stepping in it like this.
